Brevard NEXT — Privacy Policy

Brevard NEXT is an adult program: every member is 18 or older, holds their own account, and controls their own data. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who can see it, and the controls you have.

What we collect, and why

Workout activity — check-ins, effort, comments	So your coach can see how training is landing and adjust.
Health notes you choose to share — injuries, conditions, physician guidance	Programming safely around your body. Visible to you and your coach only.
Technical basics — login timestamps, timezone, device cache	Keeping the app working and reminders landing at sensible local times.

Data minimization: we collect only what the training relationship needs. No advertising identifiers, no data sales, no third-party marketing — ever.

Who can see your data

You — everything about you.
Your coach — your profile, training records, and the health notes you share, to do their job.
No other member, ever. Member isolation is enforced at the database layer (row-level security), not just in the interface. Brevard NEXT data is likewise fully separated from the Youth FIRST Athletics youth program.

Where it lives

Data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase, on managed cloud infrastructure) with encryption in transit and at rest, access controlled per row by security policy. Payments happen outside the app (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, or cash) — the app never stores card or bank numbers.

Your rights and controls

Access & export — view your records in the app and request a copy of your data.
Correction — fix anything that's wrong, in-app or by asking your coach.
Deletion — delete your account and data as described in the Data Retention & Deletion document.

We honor these rights for every member regardless of whether a particular Florida or other privacy statute technically applies to a business of our size.

Two programs under one company — the adult app and the youth app

The company behind Brevard NEXT also runs a youth program, and you should know that plainly:

Brevard NEXT — this service. A general-audience program for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and this policy is the one that covers you. As an adult you consent for yourself; there is no parent or guardian in the loop anywhere in your account.
Youth FIRST Athletics — a separate, child-directed service for youth athletes, including children under 13, run with verifiable parental consent and subject to COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). It has its own privacy policy, its own consent documents, and its own protections.

Age screening at signup sends each person to the right one. We ask for date of birth when an account is created. Brevard NEXT refuses under-18 dates of birth; a minor is routed to the youth program and its parental-consent process instead.

They are run apart. Separate programs, separate accounts, separately stored data. Your adult training data is never shown inside the youth program or mixed with youth athletes' data, and youth data is never shown to you. If you also have a child enrolled in Youth FIRST Athletics, that is a second, independent account with its own login — the two are not linked, and nothing you do here appears there.

What this means for you: COPPA's child-specific protections apply to the youth service, not to this one. Brevard NEXT is a general-audience service, so your data is governed by this policy and your own choices — which is the point of being an adult member.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, shown, shared, or kept, you'll be notified in the app, and the new version will be presented for your review.
