Switch guide for Trainers

Coming from TrainHeroic?

What you can take with you, the steps to get it out, and where it goes in Brevard NEXT.

What you get

TrainHeroic gives you for you, a spreadsheet (CSV) of your athletes: name, email and the day they joined your team. Your athletes can each download their own training history as a ZIP of spreadsheets.

The steps in TrainHeroic

  1. As the coach, open your athlete list on the TrainHeroic web app and export it.
  2. Ask each athlete who wants their history to sign in on the web and use the data export at account.trainheroic.com/data-export. They get a ZIP of CSV files.

Buttons move. If one is not where we say, follow TrainHeroic's own help page below.

What stays behind

A coach cannot export athletes' logged training, and TrainHeroic has no API. Each athlete brings their own.

Then, in Brevard NEXT

  1. Make your free Brevard NEXT account, then start a Group for your clients.
  2. Turn on the Personal Training Suite on your Group. You get the Trainer title and badge, and your Group shows up in Find a group on Explore.
  3. Send your clients your Group's invite link (Group settings). Keep the client file from your old app; you will want it for names and emails.
  4. Each client brings their own history from Settings, Import from another app: lifts from Strong, Hevy, Fitbod or JEFIT, food from MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, Lose It! or MacroFactor.
  5. Print your Group's check-in poster for the park or the gym. Clients scan it to check in.

Your clients choose what you see about them, one switch at a time, and can turn it off whenever they like.
