Signing up
The short version: book the free first session, meet Coach, and if it is a fit he gives you a join code for the app. A parent or guardian always makes the first account.
How do we get started?
Send the free first session form, or text or call Coach Jon at (321) 365-5079. He answers his own phone and reaches out within a day to set a time.
You do not need an account to book, and you do not need one to come to the session. The app comes after.
Do I need a join code to get into the app?
Yes. The youth side is invitation only today: Coach Jon gives your family a join code, and you type it once at signup. Ask him for it by text, or mention it on the free first session form and he will bring it when he calls.
That code is what puts your family in Coach’s group, and it is checked on the server, so nobody wanders into another family’s data by guessing an address.
Who in our family gets a login?
The parent or guardian first, always. Your account is the one that holds the family.
- Under 13: no login at all. You add your athlete from your own profile menu and manage everything for them. That is deliberate, and it is what the children’s privacy notice describes.
- 13 to 17: your athlete can have their own login, but only once a guardian account exists. They sign up with your email as guardian and you approve the link.
- 18 and over: that is the adult program, Brevard NEXT.
An athlete who was managed by a parent and then turns 13 keeps their whole history when they claim their own login.
What do I agree to when I sign up?
At the join step you sign the waiver and the guardian consent, and you give an emergency contact and anything medical Coach should know. At your first login the app shows the Privacy Notice and asks you to accept it before anything else.
All of it is public reading, right now, before you make an account:
Money, plainly
How does the free first session work?
Thirty or sixty minutes with Coach Jon, free, one per new client. Nothing to pay, no card, no obligation after it.
It is not a promotion and it does not expire. A free first session is standard practice in personal training: you should get to meet the coach and watch him work with your athlete before you spend a dollar.
What does the app cost?
Nothing, for every family, forever. No ads, no paywalled screens, no selling your data. Training sessions with Coach are the only thing you ever pay for.
What does training cost?
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| First session, one per new client | Free |
| 30-min 1-on-1 | $25 |
| 60-min 1-on-1 | $50 |
| FIRST Plan, 1 session a week | $192/mo |
| FIRST Pro Plan, 2 sessions a week | $360/mo |
| Buddy Plan, 2 athletes together | $144/athlete per month |
| Buddy Plan, 3 athletes together | $128/athlete per month |
| Buddy Plan, 4 athletes together | $120/athlete per month |
| FIRST Squad group session, per athlete | $10 |
Packages, the group rates at 10 and 15 athletes, the family, military and Founders discounts and the school perk are all on the full price list. All prices are pre-tax.
Can my kids train together?
Yes, that is the Buddy Plan. One 60-minute session a week with everyone training together. The hour is $48 and each athlete after the first adds $24, so the more of you train together, the less each pays: $144 each for two, $128 each for three, $120 each for four, per month.
Three athletes on the Buddy Plan is $384 a month for the family. The same three on their own FIRST Plans, sibling discount included, is $518.40.
The one condition is that everyone trains together, in the same session, for the whole month.
If one athlete misses a session, the others still train. That athlete makes it up by adding a 1-on-1 session for $48, which is the only makeup. If none of the athletes can make it, the session is rescheduled. Sessions are used inside the same month, and Coach works with families when an emergency or the weather gets in the way. The goal is that every family gets what they paid for.
An extra session together follows the same rule as the plan: $48 for the hour, plus $24 for each athlete after the first.
The Buddy Plan rate is already the family rate, so the sibling, military and Founders discounts do not apply on top of it.
They do not have to be siblings. Any two, three or four athletes who want to train together can share a Buddy Plan. Five or more is a Squad session.
How do I pay, and does anything charge me automatically?
You pay Coach directly: Zelle (no fee on either end), Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or cash at a session, and he confirms every payment himself.
Your month starts the day your payment arrives, and the plan renews when the next payment comes in. Nothing is ever charged automatically, the app never holds a card. When the month is up you send the next one, or you do not. That is the whole mechanism.
What if we want to stop, or need money back?
Stopping is simply not sending the next payment, and a message to Coach so he can free up your slot. There is nothing to cancel and nothing recurring to switch off.
Anything else about money, a missed session, a refund, a hard month, is arranged with Coach directly. He is a person, not a billing system, and there is no automatic refund rule in the app.
The sessions
What does my athlete need to bring?
Water, trainers, and clothes for the weather. That is it for a first session.
Once you are in the app, each session card on the Schedule shows anything else Coach listed for that day, and some carry a what-to-bring checklist you can tick off while packing.
What if we cannot use every session in a month?
Sessions do not roll over between months, so book them early in your window. Some months have 5 training weeks instead of 4. FIRST Plan members get that extra session free, FIRST Pro Plan members get two free. You never pay more than the plan price.
If Coach cancels, the app offers your family the next open slot. Anything beyond that, talk to Coach, he is reasonable.
Who talks to my child?
There is no private channel between a coach and a minor in this app, and there never will be. Messaging is coach to parent, or in a space a parent can read.
The same rule holds off the app: a parent joins the Discord community alongside every athlete, so every message Coach or anyone else sends is parent visible. The athletes-only team chat needs its own guardian consent and stays readable by you.
Your family’s data
Who can see my athlete’s data?
Your family and Coach Jon. No other family, ever.
That separation is enforced in the database itself, not in the buttons on the screen, and more than 1,300 automated privacy tests run before every release. If one fails, the release stops.
Inside your own team there are a few places an athlete can appear, the squad feed, leaderboards, published testimonials and monthly totals. Every one of them is a switch you hold, listed under Data & Privacy in the app.
What about photos and videos?
Coach uploads media, families do not, and it lives in private storage that is never openly addressable. A clip reaches the squad reel only if you opt it in and Coach approves it, and you can withdraw it at any time.
The details are in the photo and video release.
How long do you keep our data?
You choose, per athlete: keep it until you remove it, drop anything older than 12 months on a rolling basis, or remove everything when your athlete turns 18. You can change the setting whenever you like.
A few records survive removal because tax law and signed waivers require it. Exactly which ones, and for how long, is set out in data retention and deletion.
How do we leave, and take our records with us?
Before you go, print what you want to keep: training plans export to PDF from the plan itself, and Coach will send you your athlete’s benchmark history if you ask.
Then open Data & Privacy and use Request data removal. Coach reviews every request personally, you can watch its status in the app, and you get a confirmation when it is done. The youth side works this way on purpose, so a child cannot erase a parent’s records and a parent cannot silently orphan an athlete.
No reason is required, and asking to leave costs nothing.

Training for adults?
Brevard NEXT is the 18 and over side of the same app, and it is free forever. Its own questions and answers are at Brevard NEXT: questions and answers.
